These are the projects I've undertaken in an attempt to make my mark on the world.

I've worked on numerous smaller ventures over time, the ones I'm most proud of are listed here. Several are available as open-source, so feel free to examine the code and suggest improvements if you have any ideas.

  • Real-Time Garden Monitoring with ESP32

In my Real-Time Strawberry Garden Growth and Environmental Monitoring project, I've combined the joy of gardening with advanced technology. Using the powerful ESP32 microcontroller, I provide instant insights into the well-being of my strawberry garden. You can experience the continuous growth of my strawberry plants with real-time updates, access data on temperature, humidity, and soil moisture for a comprehensive view of garden conditions, and harness the capabilities of the ESP32 technology for precise monitoring. You can also observe the garden's progress through interactive charts and graphs. Join me on this journey, and I'll show you how to recreate this project for your own gardening adventures. The technology stack includes Firestore, React.JS, Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 Sense, Seeed Studio Expansion Board Base for XIAO, Temperature & Humidity Sensor Pro (DHT22), and Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor.

  • eCommerce Application

I have successfully completed the eCommerce application project, which allowed me to showcase my proficiency in key security and DevOps skills. Throughout the project, I demonstrated my ability to handle authorization with proper security using JWT, write tests with an acceptable code coverage level, identify the correct metrics for logging to monitor a system, and index metrics to Splunk. Additionally, I successfully configured and automated the CI/CD pipeline. Overall, this project served as an excellent opportunity for me to enhance my skills and knowledge in eCommerce application development.

  • Backend System for a Car Website

In this project, I created a REST-based Vehicles API using Spring Boot, which communicated with a location and pricing service. Additionally, I converted the existing Pricing Service API to a microservice registered on a Eureka server, adding an extra test for the microservice. I implemented the CarService and CarController, added testing for the CarController class, and used Swagger to document the Vehicles API. Overall, this project allowed me to enhance my skills in developing a web-based system while working on a real-world application.

  • Critter Chronologer

I designed and implemented the data model for Critter Chronologer, a Software as a Service application that provides a scheduling interface for a small business that takes care of animals. Using Spring Boot, I created a system that allows users to create pets, owners, and employees, and then schedule events for employees to provide services for pets. I configured the properties and unit tests to ensure the project met the requirements and used the Data Access Object pattern, Spring Data Repositories, and Service objects to handle requests from the Controller layer and make the appropriate calls to the Data layer. The project now supports creating customers and pets, updating employee schedules, scheduling employee-pet activities, and looking up scheduled events.
